About Us
Mystic Funeral Home has been serving the Mystic area for over 20 years. Together operator and director Stephen M. King and Amanda Szajda have many years of experience in this profession. We believe in flexible, sincere, and highly personalized service. We are a full service family owned funeral home, caring for the needs and desires of every client and their family, no matter how small the detail. Furthermore, you will receive exceptional personalized service.
While we are involved with death on a daily basis, we never forget that completing all the necessary arrangements of a funeral service is a task most families face only a few times. At Mystic Funeral Home we are well-versed in the special funeral traditions of all faiths, ethnic backgrounds and the military. We can assist you in completing all of the arrangements within your financial means and with the special preferences you desire. Our intention is to help make every ceremony personal, meaningful and truly reflective of the life that was lived.

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the owner and operator of Mystic Funeral Home. I have been in the funeral service profession for over 18 years. Mystic Funeral Home has been in this community for many years, and I am committed to continue the excellent reputation that it holds. It is a privilege for myself and the staff to guide and support a family, as well as to provide care and compassion during the most difficult time in their life. |

I was interested in Funeral Service long before I graduated from Bacon Academy
High School in 2000. I enrolled in Briarwood College's Mortuary Science Program
that fall and graduated with my Associates in Applied Science/Mortuary Science
in 2002. After joining the staff at Mystic Funeral Home I relocated to Stonington
from my home in Colchester. I immediately felt welcome and have been fortunate
to begin as well as pursue my career in such a warm and friendly community. I am currently a member of the Mystic Rotary Club serving as Vice President and President of the Saint Bernard Rescue of CT & RI, a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of Saint Bernard's and other giant breeds. |
